Comedy Green Room Portraits
Last week I was asked to photograph a comedy show at one of Austin Texas newest comedy clubs, The Romo Room. Coda Comedy, hosted by Dave Jay, had a stellar lineup featuring some up and coming comedians that have performed on some decent sized stages in the United States of America. Leonarda Jonie, pictured above is one of the rising talents in Austin Texas comedy scene. Having performed on Kill Tony, Deathsquad Secret Shows, and opening up for top tier talent like David Lucas, Leonarda is destined to be a household name in the very near future.
Mike Eaton, co-host of the Giggle Boys podcast which just recently joined the Drinking Bros podcast network, is another rising talent in the Austin Texas comedy scene.
Josh Castro is a Mexican-American comedian and show producer who started doing comedy back 2012. Since then he's opened up and featured for various big name Latin comics including Paul Rodriguez, Nick Guerra, and Chingo Bling.
Hailing from Tennessee, Lukas Mccrary is another rising comic in the Austin comedy scene. Having performed on Kill Tony numerous times and in front of Joe Rogan, Lukas has been getting booked all over the city. Lukas also produces his own show, The Main Course, every other Friday in downtown Austin.
Dave Jay, the show host and producer of Coda Comedy has been a staple in Austin for sometime now. His show, Coda Comedy at the Romo Room takes place every other week with stellar lineups.
And the headliner of the night Steph Tolev is a comic that tours regularly and has a weekly podcast, STEPH INFECTION as well as “Unprotected Sets” stand up special on Epix & featured on Bill Burr’s “The Ringers” on Comedy Central.
